The EEG Station - 4 Channel device ports are located on the front panel of the device. A label on top of the device serves as a reference for which port corresponds to which channel. Along the bottom, from left to right are the Active ports for Channels 1, 2, 3, and 4.
Above those 4 ports is a row of three ports which, from left to right, represent the Reference port for Channel 1 and Channel 2 (left most port), the Ground port (center port) and the reference port for Channel 3 and Channel 4 (right most port on top row).
The references are internally linked within the amplifier itself such that Channels 1 and 2 share one reference cable and Channels 3 and 4 share a separate cable. You can then also use a Jumper to link the references for all 4 channels together (when using a 3 or 4 channel placement).
For a 1 Channel placement, you will only need the Channel 1 batch of cables (red, black and green).
The Red sensor connects to the left most port on the bottom row.
The black sensor plugs into to the left most sensor on the top row.
The green cable connects to the Center port on the top row.
Note that your cable colors may differ from what is depicted in the image here).
For a 2 Channel Placement, you will need 4 cables; Actives for Channel 1 and Channel 2, a Reference (shared between Channel 1 & 2) and a Ground sensor.
The Red sensor connects to the left most port on the bottom row.
The Yellow sensor connects to the 2nd port from left on the bottom row for Channel 2.
The black sensor plugs into to the left most sensor on the top row.
The green cable connects to the Center port on the top row.
Note that your cable colors may differ from what is depicted in the image here).
For a 4 Channel Placement, you will need all 7 cables and the jumper.
The Red sensor connects to the left most port on the bottom row.
The Yellow sensor connects to the 2nd port from left on the bottom row for Channel 2.
Use a Jumper to Connect the Reference Ports for Channel 1/2 and Channel 3/4 together.
The black sensor plugs into to the left most sensor on the top row (into the jumper).
The green cable connects to the Center port on the top row.
The blue sensor plugs into to the right most sensor on the top row (into the jumper).
Plug the Active sensor for Channel 3 into the 3rd port from left on the bottom row (orange cable in image).
Plug the Active sensor for Channel 4 into the last port (on right) on the bottom row (light brown cable in image)
If you are only using 3 channels, then simply do not connect a sensor cable to the red "D+" port, but the other connections would remain the same.
Note that your cable colors may differ from what is depicted in the image here).
