You can move or Transfer your Station license(s) and/or Player licenses to a new computer without assistance from BrainTrain Support. Player Licenses may be deactivated and reactivated twice. Cloud licenses cannot be deactivated and transferred to a new player, but you can import any existing Cloud Players to your new computer.
This procedure works for the following products:
- TNT Reading AE
- Start the program from which you want to move the license. If the Wizard mode starts, click on the “Advanced Menu” button.
- Do backups of any and all your players before removing your license. Click here for further details on that procedure.
- From the Advanced Menu, click on the “Registration & Support” button on the right side of the screen.
- Near the top, right corner of the screen, there is a “View All Licenses” button. If you click this, it will display all of your currently activated licenses. This will help guide you in where to go next. If you have any Station Licenses, you will need to go to “Manage Station Licenses” to deactivate and upload those back to the registration server. If you have Player licenses, you will need to go to “Manage Player Licenses” to deactivate and upload those.
For Station Licenses
- From the “Registration & Support” screen, click on the “Manage Station Licenses” button.
- Press the “Deactivate” button at the bottom of the screen (Click for image). Enter your Licensing Password when prompted. This would be the same password you received with your initial purchase and was used to register the software. The remaining time on your Applied Station license will now appear under the “Available Stations” list (Click for image).
- Click on the station license and then press the “Upload” button to send that license back to our server. Once its uploaded, you can now install the software on your new computer and then register the remaining time there.
For Player Licenses
- From the “Registration & Support” screen, click on the “Manage Player Licenses” button.
- At the bottom of the screen, you will see a list of all of your currently licensed players (Click for image). Select a player and press the “Deactivate” button at the bottom of the screen (Click for image). Enter your Licensing Password when prompted. This would be the same password you received with your initial purchase and was used to register the software. The remaining time from that Player License will now appear under the “Available” list near the top of the screen (Click for image).
- Repeat Step 2 to deactivate any/all of the Players licenses you have activated. It may be useful to keep a guideline or notes so you know which player had which license remaining so you can reapply the licenses on the new computer.
- Once you have any/all of the licenses deactivated, click on the “Upload” button (Click for image) at the top of the screen to upload the license(s) back to our server. Once the licenses are all uploaded, you can now install the software on the new computer, restore your backup and then download and reactivate all of your player licenses.
For Cloud Licenses
- You can’t deactivate a Cloud license from a player once it has been applied, but you will want to Upload any Cloud licenses that you’ve downloaded to your system that have not been applied before moving to a new system.
- From the “Registration & Support” screen, click on the “Manage Cloud Licenses” button.
- At the top of the screen, click on the “Upload” button (Click for image) at the top of the screen to upload any Unapplied licenses back to our server. Once the licenses are all uploaded, you can now install the software on the new computer, restore your backup and then download and reactivate all of your player licenses.
