This message would mean that either 1) the database is corrupted or 2) the MDAC files (Microsoft Data Access Components) installed on the system aren’t working properly. As bad as #1 sounds, its probably the preferable cause.
A couple of things to try.
A) First, try running the IVA-AE test that comes with the Test Battery II and see if the same problem occurs. If so, it probably points to #2 above. If not, then #1 is more likely.
B) If the IVA-AE test in Step A above runs fine, but IVA+Plus is still having trouble, then try the “Fix and Compress IVA+Plus Database” command from the “Database” menu under the Test Battery II screen. Then attempt to run the IVA+Plus again.
C) If B above doesn’t resolve the problem, then try the “Create New IVA+Plus Database” command from the “Database” menu under the Test Battery II screen. Then attempt to run the IVA+Plus again. If C works, then that points to the database as being corrupted. You could then try to merge an older backup of the IVA+Plus database (if one exists) into the new database created to recover as many records as possible.
