Test Battery Error – Possible Problem Accessing Your Database

A database check is performed at each start of the Test Battery II wherein we open a sample database, write out data to it, close the connection and then read the data back in.  If the data read back from the sample database differs from expected, then the following error will appear.

“Test Battery System Error”
“A system error has occurred. The Test Battery has detected a possible problem accessing your database on this computer.”

This doesn’t necessarily mean that there is a problem, but you should run through a sample test to determine if the test is actually saving data at the end. If after completing a test, the data was saved and can be retrieved from the database, you can then turn off the database check so the error doesn’t appear again.

If you have determined that the test is indeed saving your data at the end, then you can disable the Database Check that is displaying that error. To disable the Database Check, click on the “Database” menu from the Test Battery II screen, then uncheck the item next to “Enable Database Check” which should be the last item available on the Database menu.

If you notice that your licenses or test usages and/or previously tested records seem to have disappeared, and you are using Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8, then consult this article:  http://braintrainhelp.com/virtualstore-windows-vista-windows-7-and-windows-8/
